These photos supplied by a person selling the machine on Ebay. Here is the info that was in the advert:

This is possibly one of the hardest Acorn machines to find. One of these machines is actually on display in the Science Museum. It's importance cannot be understated........... From a vintage computing point of view, this item was an amazing piece of equipment for the time. One of the first true Multimedia machines. More importantly though is it's social relevence. As a snapshot of life in the 1980's, this data is invaluable. Many efforts are currently being made to retrieve, archive and re-format this information. There have been numerous press stories recently about this data. Most referring to the fact that the information contained within the original Domesday Book is more accesable than the 1980's project. I have never seen one of these machines on ebay before, and I would imagine that finding a similar complete working setup with discs would be very difficult indeed. This auction contains the following items......... BBC Micro 'Domesday' - (Beefed up Master with 2nd processor and SCSI card) Phillips LV ROM Player - (with genlock) 'The Domesday Project' discs - both discs, boxed AMX Mouse Acorn Rollerball Cumana 40/80 drive All connecting cables. I have tested everything, and it all works perfectly - with the exception of................ No remote control unit for the LV ROM player(does not hamper operation, unable to fast forward/rewind etc the 80's video montage) The Video Montage disc 'locks' up 75% through the film. This is due to the disc surface being scratched - surface repair is possible, but I have been reluctant to tamper with the discs myself. One rubber foot missing from the underside of the Rollerball casing. The overall condition of the hardware is excellent, with hardly a mark on anything. The BBC Master is as clean as I have seen. With virtually no yellowing and no security markings/etchings. (There are a couple of paper 'Electrical Safety Test' labels suck to the side, these will come off easily). The LV ROM player is equally unmarked. The Acorn Rollerball is clean, with no markings. The action is smooth and true. The AMX Mouse is cosmetically excellent, although it is untested. The Cumana 5.25" Drive works fine, but could do with a bit of a clean(cellotape residue and paper labels). The Domesday Discs have numerous fine scratches on their surfaces. I have used this machine extensively, and have yet to find any corrupt areas of the discs(with the exception of the Video montage mentioned above). The Discs are boxed. I would give the box 6.5/10. It is complete, but the outer case is split at the top edge(it shows signs of being taped together - indeed some new tape would get the outer box looking pretty good again). The inner box holds good shape. Again some taping has been used to keep the inner folder attatched to the box. No instructions are included, but 2 function key inserts are supplied. If you are not 100% satisfied with this product, simply return it to me within 14 days of receiving it for a full refund. See pictures below...........(email me if you have any difficulties viewing the pics, or if you would like me to send you more photo's-about 40 pics, total zipped filesize of approx 2.5Mb) Click here to find out more about the BBC Domesday Project/Machine This is a No Reserve auction.
