The software writes to your hard disk and so it is possible to damage files through the incorrect or correct use of this program. If you do not want to take that risk then please don’t use BBC Disk Explorer. Having said that there shouldn't be any problems unless you do something stupid. This new version, includes amongst its new features the capablity to read BBC floppies directly from your PC's floppy drive, if you have suitable hardware. This feature is only available to Windows 95 users it will not work under Windows NT, although you can still manipulate disk images under NT. There is now an expanded Help file which details most of the features and includes information on working with BBC floppies in PC floppy drives, which would be well worth consulting before you start. I hope you enjoy using BBC Disk Explorer and find it useful. Bug reports and suggestions for new features are welcome at the above e-mail address, but I can't promise that I will look at them very soon.
