Here is Vision Software's Disc Executor for the BBC Micro. This doesn't appear to be elsewhere in the beeb archives out there, so I thought I'd share it around. Not really much practical use these days, but interesting nonetheless. :) Disc Executor is a relatively straightforward Tape to Disc copier that allows locked and E00 page bound code to be transferred to and run pretty easily from DFS. It worked well at the time, but was soon defeated by the more advanced protection techniques (like those used in Wizadore). There's a somewhat grumpy but rather entertaining exchange between Micro User and Vision software here: http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/themicrouser/reviews/utilities/discexecutor.htm and here: http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/themicrouser/micromail/01-12.htm The original business model for Vision was to sell you a protected disc which would contain the menu/transfer system and would house your programs once transferred. Once the disc was full, you'd buy another.. DiscExec.zip contains DiscExec.ssd which is a single sided 80 track image version with a small selection of games on it. I removed the protection from the original floppy I purchased way back in the 80s. Have Fun! Kieran Mockford
