Hi,

is the disc drive seeking? by that I mean when you press SHIFT BREAK, as well as the drive motor running, do you hear a intermittant buzzing or grinding noise? which indicates the drive head moving as it should.

Also how long has this fault been apparent? has the computer or drives just come out of storage or have you been using it regular?

Finally, some specs, what type of DFS is it running? you can find this out by typing *help RETURN . Also what make is the disk drive, and single or double drives?

The more info you can give the more chance someone will spot something.
