The 8BS Magazine
-
The 8BS disc based magazine was issued about
every seven weeks until issue 66 when I stopped sending it out due to lack
of submissions.
-
The magazine is full of articles, messages and software.
-
The articles and messages are displayed in scrolling
teletext files (40 column, lots of colour).
-
Members used the 8BS messaging system to send in
messages on their submission disc. The messaging system is an easy to use
system that can be used as a simple text editor. The system also features
full teletext editing facilities for those that want to add colour and
teletext graphics to their messages.
-
The messages from members include; For sale and wanted,
general comments about anything, pleas for help, offers of help and answers
to previous pleas, comments about software in previous 8BS issues, reviews,
moans, poems, stories, to mention just a few.
-
Articles on a very wide range of subjects have appeared
in 8BS issues. A few examples are on these pages.
-
Back issues of the magazine can be found in the 8BS
catalogue.
-
If you have not got a BBC, 8BS magazines run well
on the BBC emulators. See the 'downloads' page for more info on this.
