Getting to know Graham whilst doing our paramedic training at Wakefield revealed a man who enjoyed life to the fullest. However, beneath this fun exterior was a father and husband who cared very dearly for his family and they were never very far from his thoughts. The lasting memory will be of a consultant abandoning an obstetrics lecture due to grahams graphic animations reducing the full class to tears of laughter. You are now offically forgiven for not getting a round in after dropping the jackpot on the bandit.R.I.P. Didn't know graham that well as we only met breifly in Stockport whilst dropping Laura off. From what i can gather from lee & laura he was a proper gentleman & an excellant father. Is it not bad enough losing someone so cherished by such a nice family . But his other family "his colleague's " he shared most of his working life with . A huge loss to everyone concerned my wife jean & i convey our deepest heart felt sympathie's to everyone .

It was always a pleasure working with Graham, and I could be guaranteed a few laughs, serious conversation and if I ever was getting the upper hand in a difference of opinion Graham would demonstrate his super use of the art of breaking wind to bring the conversation to an end. Graham gave me good advice when I first qualified and I still remember clearly his words which have helped me during my service. Heartfelt Sympathy to Linda, Becky & Laura. R.I.P. Graham... Steve.

Show me the way by wendy craig
when i'm confused, lord.show me the way.
baffled and bruised, lord, show me the way.
prepare my soul to hear.
your still small voice your word of truth
"peace, be still"your lord is near
away so close to show me the way
when i'm afraid, lord show me the way
weak and dismayed, lord show me the way
lift my spirt with your love
bring courage calm and peace
you who bore all for my sake
so i could walk from fear released
with you beside me showing the way
showing, showing showing the way.

You could always rely on GRAHAM when a shift needed covering. I remember enjoying a days fishing when i got a call asking me to work the next day.I declined the offer just as a shout came from further down the bank "i can do it".Graham's "selfelsh" approach to work was legendary!!.I'll miss you GRABS, the fishing, the speedway cover, your quips and your comments "your eye for a bargain" and above all else your friendship.I'll raise a glass of BACARDI AND COKE to you ever year on on the 21ST DECEMBER. Graham was a well liked and respected member of our community with his sharp wit and inuendos. He would always have a cheery word for both young and old. He and Linda worked hard towards the running of the village hall helping run events. Words don't seem enough to say what we all feel. He will be deeply missed by everyone. At this time our thoughts, our prayers and our love go to Linda, Laura and Rebecca. From friends and residents of Preston South.

Graham was not only a colleague, he was a good friend and will be missed by all who knew him. He became quite famous amongst friends and colleagues for his eye for a bargain, although I did find some of his money saving schemes a little worrying. One occasion in particular comes to mind when we were driving through the countryside amongst fields of farm animals and Graham turned to me and asked the question "eh, do you think you and me could butcher a sheep???"

Graham will be missed by all who knew him. His dry humour was infectious, his ability to find a bargain renowned. The job and the river bank will be a sadder place for the loss of a colleague, crewmate and friend.

I enjoyed the time I had with Graham as a crewmate. He was always a good laugh and could bring humour into a tense situation. One of many I remember is when I was delivering a baby, the mum was laid in a doorway, just where we found her. I am saying 'push now', Graham produced a spark plug from his pocket and said 'I guess you don't need this then'.

Losing Graham that way was a terrible shock. I hope that Graham's family recover quickly from their injuries.

Linda. If there is anything we can do to help, at any time, please don't hesitate to ask
Chris Richardson
